Archery Come and Try at Lusine Centre Family Fun Day 2019

An Archery Come & Try is the best way to try archery without committing to a Beginner Course or joining a club. We try to run regular Come & Try Archery events, in Shoreline and other places, so keep an eye on this page to see when the next one is happening.

They are run by volunteers who are senior archers in the club. Depending on the venue and demand, we normally charge a small fee to shoot a few arrows under the guidance of senior archers.

    March 18, 2020  19:30 - 21:00 - Google Maps

Ever wanted to try archery? Inspired by the recent Rambo movie, Katniss in the Hunger Games, Hawkeye in Avengers or Merida in Brave and want to try the real thing? Or you just want to try something new in 2020?

We're putting on a "Come and Try" in Shoreline this March, so if you want to see what it's like to shoot a few arrows, please join us.

You don't need to pre-register, just come down to Shoreline in Greystones between 7.30pm and 9pm on Wednesday 18th March. It will be FREE and there be a number of experienced archers on hand to show you the ropes. However participants must be at least 8 years or older.

Archery is a sport that is open to all regardless of age, gender or ability. It has many different flavours, from traditional styles using wooden bows and arrows to Olympic recurve or even high-tech compound bows. It is practiced both indoors and outdoors but also in forests and even on horseback.

Wicklow Archers is a community-based archery club that supports the growth and promotion of all forms of archery, for people of all ages, ability and background. We actively promote both the recreational and competitive aspects of the sport, and support archers and coaches trying to achieve the highest standards in the sport. We train every Wednesday in Shoreline in Greystones and most Sundays outside near Dargle Valley.
