6. Officers of the Club
*Starred positions are compulsory under Archery Ireland Rules
**Double-starred positions require specific training
The officers of the club will be:
- Chair/President *
- Vice Chair/Vice President
- Honorary Secretary*
- Treasurer*
- Children’s Officer**
- Designated Person**
- Competitions Co-ordinator
- Coaching Co-ordinator
- Club Welfare/Health and safety Officer
- Public Relations Officer
- Vetting Officer**
- Any other relevant position
Officers will be elected annually at the AGM. All officers will retire after a set time period but may be eligible for re-appointment.
7. Committee
The club will be managed through the Management Committee consisting of:
- The following Officer posts will have the right to vote at meetings of the Management Committee:
- Chairperson/President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Children’s Officer
- Public Relations Officer
- Competitions Coordinator
- The Management Committee will be convened by the Secretary of the club and hold no less than six meetings per year.
- The quorum required for business to be agreed at Management Committee meetings will be 3 (three).
- The Management Committee will be responsible for adopting new policy, codes of practice and rules that affect the organisation of the club.
- The Management Committee will have powers to appoint sub-committees as necessary and appoint advisers to the Management Committee as necessary to fulfil its business.
- The Management Committee will be responsible for disciplinary hearings of members who infringe the club rules/regulations/constitution. The Management Committee will be responsible for taking any action of suspension or discipline following such hearings.
8. Finance
- All club monies will be banked in an account held in the name of the club.
- The Club Treasurer will be responsible for the finances of the club.
- The financial year of the club will end on 31st October.
- A statement of annual accounts will be presented by the Treasurer at the AGM.
- The approved statement of annual accounts will be sent to the treasurer of Archery Ireland each year. (This is a requirement of Archery Ireland)
- Any cheques drawn against club funds should hold the signatures of the Treasurer plus at least one other officer.
