Wicklow Open Target Championships, April 2014

Registration begins at 9.00am and practice starts at 9.30am

Format Details

Recurve and Compound – Other bow divisions will be catered for by request

Saturday: A 1440 competition

Sunday: An Olympic/knockout round

Archers will be awarded points on each day for the position they finish in:

  • 1st place: 20 points
  • 2nd place: 18 points
  • 3rd place: 16 points
  • 4th place: 14 points
  • 5th – 16th places: 12 – 1 points

The archer with the highest points over the weekend in their category will be the winner.

The will be an Open and a Women’s section. Women competing in the Open section will shoot the full Men’s distances.

Saturday – 36 Arrows at Each Distance (144 Arrows)

All distances apply to both Recurve and Compound

Sunday – Qualifying Event of 72 Arrows Followed by a “Knockout” Competition

Knockouts will take place after qualification using a “set” system of 3 arrows per match for Recurve and using a points system for Compound.

Shooting Details

Age refers to the entrant's age on the 1st of January in the year of the competition.

If you have been shooting for less than 6 months since completing an Entry to Archery course, you should tick this box. This means you will shoot from a white peg at a maximum of 30m.
