Entry to Archery Course
Wicklow Archers archery club hold Entry to Archery courses every 7 weeks. These courses are held at Shoreline Leisure centre in Greystones on a Wednesday evening at 7.30pm sharp.
The course runs for six
An adult must accompany any child under 12 at all times. An adult must accompany all children for the first class.
All equipment is provided for the duration of the course and is covered by the cost of the course. The equipment provided is:
- 3 Arrows
Advice is given to participants on the correct equipment suited to them individually, should they wish to continue in the sport and purchase their own equipment.

The Improver archery course runs for 4 weeks and aims to bring archers from beginner-level up to a level where they can use a “clicker” and shoot in competitions.
Wicklow Archers also runs advancement courses. The Advancement archery course is an intensive, highly informative course which runs over 8 weeks. You do not have to be at any particular level to take part in the course but you will need to be committed to get the most out of it, and you will need to start using a “clicker” during the course.
The fee for the Advancement course is €60.
Requirements for the Advancement course are that you have completed the Entry to Archery course, have at least 6 arrows and commit to attending the course for the full 8 weeks.
