Beginner’s Courses

Our Beginner’s Course focuses mainly on safety while teaching you the basics of archery, preparing you to join Wicklow Archers and begin to progress your shooting. All our Beginner Courses are run by Archery Ireland accredited coaches.
Archery is a fantastic sport for people of all fitness abilities. While there’s no upper limit on age, we’d recommend a minimum age of 9. Children under 16 must have a parent or guardian present for the duration of the course, while children under 12 must sign up to the course with an adult.
When and Where
Depending on the time of year, our courses are run either outdoors in Dargle Valley or indoors in St.Gerard’s School.

Adults: €100
Juniors and students: €75

Remember, Wicklow Archers is volunteer run and organised. This means all course fees go towards club venues, equipment and events. This also means we might not be able to respond immediately, but we promise we’ll do our best. We’d love to get paid to do Archery but we don’t. So please be patient as we try to accommodate you!
